Humble but Unsharing narrator DC native Matthew chats on Cape-consider this a Travel Channel Expo

The Gang Heads to Cape Town
Matt Fallon
With another week of hard work in the record books, the troublemakers on CSC ZA 16 were ready for a weekend jaunt to Cape Town.

Kristin “Next Round’s on Me” Gibson,
Akiko “Excel Sensei” Kishiro
Your Humble Narrator wasted no time in tracking down a fantastic meal at Blues Restaurant by the sea.

Kristin claimed the seared tuna was allegedly the best she’s ever eaten, but the Gang was unable to confirm because there was NO SHARING WHATSOEVER.

The Gang awoke the next morning to be greeted by their notably punctual and always cheerful guide, Oliver. He sized up his guests and promptly brought them to a vineyard for breakfast…

… followed by a brewery for lunch.

At this point, the Gang was feeling really stressed out by all of the delicious food and drink and decided to stop and smell the roses in nearby Franschhoek. It should be noted that this is not a figure of speech - roses were literally sniffed for 15 minutes.

The rose sniffing nearly derailed the day’s schedule, but trusty Oliver remained one step ahead. He raced the Gang back to their humble abode just in time to catch some snaps of the sun setting over the Atlantic.

The next morning, the Gang geared up for a beautiful day traversing the Cape of Good Hope. Little did they know that a veritable “Planet Earth” episode’s worth of wildlife would be featured along the way.

The Gang was relieved to find that none of their “Planet Earth” stars featured as lunch for other, more menacing “Planet Earth” stars.

Before the Gang knew what hit them, they were on the plane back to Joburg and wishing for just a few more hours to explore this beautiful city by the sea.

TL;DR - Cape Town was a blast and you should go. Now. Get Packing!
