Self Proclaimed Name that Tune Champion Eric Johnson's Day Eh...

Tuesday Oct 11, 2016

"Woke up, got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head....."

A little Beatles tribute to start Day 2 of our CSC Business experience...
Day 2 started with Teams 1 & 3 piling in the mini-bus and driving for 40 minutes to our downtown offices...the driving experience is much like a video game...best option is to not actually watch and try to just chat....like I did with Jalpa, learning more about Indian food and the fact that Starbucks in India serve only Indian coffee beans!

Our second day with our client, the Dept of e-Gov was slower than our first.  Our primary sponsor was tied up in a workshop with Microsoft as they begin to determine their new 'common platform'.   Raghava & Angelica and I worked in an office further refining the inputs required for our engagement and determining what further interviews we needed to pursue.  Our current hurdles include: we are still waiting on building access so we can come and go....we don't have internet access yet and a challenging discovery today was that the power plugs here are different from the round two prongs so we are on limited battery life!
Found a great little Indian restaurant for lunch!

Our sponsor, Nash, spent a couple very productive hours with us in the afternoon and managed to get us invited to the monthly Council of CIOs meeting on Thursday where we will run an hour workshop focused on our assignment.

We headed back to the hotel with 3 of the 4 teams for our Security briefing with Yolainda where she explained why we are in constant danger for our lives.

Ten of us headed out for dinner to WengThai restaurant at the Mall up the street (and left our other four teammates at the hotel as they were preparing a deliverable for Wed morning.)

The quote of the evening goes to Borek…..”Since there are three ladies on my team (Akiko, Siobhan & Lisa) I do not have to speak very often.”
Looking forward to Day 3…..
